The trip to Rwanda is open to 6 individuals who have a passion for adventure and are seeking to build community and learn more about African culture and indigenous business practices.

Duration: 10 days in country (2 days travel on either end)

Airport: KGL (Kigali, Rwanda). Flights require ~150,000 miles or between $900-1,500 RT economy class.

Vaccinations: None required. Anti-malarial (malarone) is recommended to take daily while in country.

Experience / Grit: Rwanda is an easy country to travel. It is clean, safe, friendly and the climate is bar none. Quality organic food and clean water are readily accessible. Lodging on this trip will be mostly 4 star. For people seeking a lower budget option, or for those seeking a 5 star experience, that is possible too. The sooner you sign up, the more likely you are to have decision-making in this area.

Itinerary: Flexible until October 1 at which point it will be fixed.
1. Kigali
Local Artisans, Women’s sewing cooperative, jewelry cooperative, shopping, Genocide Memorial Museum, Distillery or Coffee Facility Tour. Visit Hotel Rwanda and see where Sara got her start.  
2. Rulindo & Rukeri
Traditional medicine man Belchmas, explore the tea garden, learn to pluck tea with Beatrice, tour the tea factory, learn to weave the peace baskets with Ubuzima North cooperative.
3. Rubavu & Gisenyi
UMUTUZO West cooperative and women’s entrepreneurship training, tour the UBUZIMA Healing Garden, Lake Kivu, Coffee options, service opportunities
4. Musanze optional excursions
Gorilla trek and a 2-day safari (additional $1,000 park fees).

Cost: $3,000 plus $1,000 for the gorilla and safari (park fees) plus airfare.
75% of tour fees support economic advancement in Rwanda.
